2022 Fast

Our fast for 2022 is here! Our theme this year is “22 Days of Fasting in 2022” and our theme scripture is the second part of Isaiah 22:22:

What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

God gave keys to Eliakim, not just any keys but the keys to the house of David and what he opens no one will shut and what he shuts no one will open.

God has given keys not only in the Old Testament but also in the new to allow access to his kingdom, as it says in Matthew 16:18-19

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Our fast starts on the 1st and will end on the 22nd.

Our focus for the fast will be “What God opens no one can shut and what God shuts no one can open.” Specifically, what things has God opened or will open?
